Ritual Japanese Beauty
Beauty in the precision of the gesture
In Japan, beauty reveals itself in the attention paid to even the simplest gestures.
Hazellia imagines a facial pause where rice, slowness, and precision come together in a delicately crafted ritual.

Kinu
The rice ritual
Prepare. Wrap. Smooth.
01 — Prepare
On a clean face, place a soft, slightly warm cloth for a few moments. A simple first step to leave the pace of the day behind and gently enter the ritual.
02 — Wrap
Prepare a gentle mask using finely ground rice and a little water, mixing until you obtain a smooth, creamy texture. Apply a thin layer, avoiding the eye and lip contours. Leave on for a few minutes without letting it dry completely, then rinse gently with warm water.
03 — Smooth
Apply your skincare product or a few drops of a suitable facial oil so that the tool glides without pulling the skin. Then gently move a gua sha from the center of the face outwards, without applying excessive pressure. A slow movement, designed more as a moment of self-care than a pursuit of performance.
The Hazellia detail
With the gua sha, gentleness takes precedence over pressure. The tool should glide easily over the skin: never use it on dry skin by forcing the movement.
A moment for yourself
Once your treatment is finished, prepare a matcha.
Gently whisk the powder into hot water, serve it simply, and enjoy a few minutes without adding anything else.
The beauty ritual ends. Your time for yourself continues.
The ritual continues
“Beauty is not rushed. It flourishes in the gestures we repeat with gentleness.”
